Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming Honors Staff at Annual Luncheon

CASPER, Wyo. – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming held its annual Employee Appreciation and Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, November 6th at The Range. The event, called “Roast & Toast,” brought together approximately 65 staff and board members to recognize the hard work and dedication of the club’s employees, the press release said.

“Our employees are truly our greatest asset,” said Ashley Bright, the club’s general manager. “Their hard work and passion is what makes a difference in the lives of the youth we serve. We are grateful for their commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment every day.”

The luncheon included the following employee recognition for their years of service:

  • Five years of service: Aleshea Jenness, Christian Moore, Maria Baral, Morika Himes, Preston Blakely and Reed Barr
  • 10 years of service: Amanda Montes
  • 15 Years of Service: Brittany Wilson and Barb Curfew
  • 20 years of service: Pedro Mendez

The family of Brian and Michelle Dandurand were also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for their five years of dedicated volunteer service.

Top employee awards

Employees voted to present the following awards to their colleagues:

  • Rookie of the Year: Tyler Buzbee-Sniffin
  • Be Someone’s Hero: Emily Skene
  • PCS All-Star Award: Vanessa Warner
  • YDP Staff MVP: Amanda Preddis-Milne

The luncheon concluded with the presentation of the Wilma English Award to Preston Blakely. This award, the club’s most prestigious award, is named in memory of Wilma English, a visionary community leader who was instrumental in founding the first Casper Boys Club in 1969. The award recognizes employees who embody the highest standards of professionalism, place the interests of the clubs above their own and demonstrate remarkable initiative and creativity in furthering the club’s mission, the release said.
