Elise Knowles reveals painful pregnancy side effects before heading out on a family bike ride with her fiancé Josh Barker and their two children

The Block’s Elise Knowles has spoken candidly about her pregnancy, revealing the painful side effect she experienced.

The 32-year-old model, who is expecting her third child with fiancé Josh Barker, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to share a video of her bruised legs.

In the clip, she panned the camera to show dark veins running down her calves, which looked like varicose veins – blood vessels that had collected too much blood.

“Legs are going to shake this time,” Elise wrote alongside the video, suggesting she was suffering worse than during her first two pregnancies: Sunny, three, and Zali, alone.

Up to four in ten pregnant women suffer from varicose veins, and they often begin in the first trimester of pregnancy.

But later that day, Elise put her painful feelings aside and went out to spend some family time with her partner Josh and their children Sunny and Zali.

She showed off her growing baby bump as she walked their dog in a local Byron Bay park and then went for a bike ride with her children.

For the outing, Elise showed off her stylish figure in an olive tank dress that hugged her baby bump.

Elise, whose due date is unknown, protected her eyes from the bright sun with a pair of black glasses and carried everything she needed in a cotton bag.

Meanwhile, Josh opted for a casual look with a simple white T-shirt and green shorts.

Deciding to go barefoot for the occasion, Josh also protected his face from the sun with a navy blue cap.

The family seemed to be having a good time when Josh and Elise brought a fat tire mountain bike to the park.

Zali also brought her bike with her and seemed to be having a great time riding along with Josh and Elise, who took turns carefully pushing Sunny around the park.

The Weimaraner couple’s dogs also joined in on the fun, happily jumping around with the family as they rode.

Elise seemed to be having a wonderful day in the sun and was smiling as she happily rolled around the park with her loving family.

Zali laughed and enjoyed the ride, Elise pedaled confidently through the park, and Josh ran alongside his faithful pooches.

Josh was later seen lying in the middle of the park, taking a well-deserved break as Sunny and Elise looked on.

Josh and Elise, who rose to fame after winning The Block in 2017, welcomed Sunny in February 2021.

They announced the birth of their first child shortly after learning they were secretly engaged.

The former reality stars moved from Melbourne to Byron Bay in 2019 in search of a quieter life.

In May 2020, they purchased a $2.3 million beach house in the New South Wales coastal town and renovated it.

The couple’s Weimaraner dogs also joined in on the fun, jumping happily along with the young family as they rode around.

Elise seemed to be having a great day in the sun, smiling as she happily rolled around the park, her hair blowing in the wind.

The adventurous model even managed to balance both children on the bike at one point.

All the fun proved too much for Josh, who was seen lying in the middle of the park taking a well-deserved break as Sunny and Elise looked on.

Elise told Stellar magazine that she suffered from anxiety after the birth of her son Sunny.

“I was very nervous leaving the house for the first time. My heart was pounding. I didn’t know if I could do it,” she told the publication.

“Having (Sunny), our dogs, and getting out of there… And Sunny was screaming in the car, and it really scared me.”

“It became difficult for me to breathe and I had to tell myself: “Everything is fine, what could go wrong? Everyone has kids… you just have to go for it,” she added.
