A day after the release of his much-anticipated spy thriller Citadel: Sweet Bunny, Varun Dhawan was spotted at the Mumbai airport as he took off to an unknown destination. The actor rushed to the airport and spoke briefly with the paparazzi before heading inside. Varun was dressed casually in a beige shirt and trousers with a blue T-shirt underneath. He completed his comfy look with cool sunglasses.

In a video shared on social media, paparazzi near the airport asked the actor to stop and pose. However, Varun told them that he was already late for the flight and playfully remarked, “Flight nahi rukegi mere liye (the flight won’t wait for me).” Actor Bhediya then waved goodbye to them and entered the airport.

Following the release of Citadel: The Honey Bunny on November 7 on Prime Video, Varun’s fans took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share their views on the spy thriller. One of his fans wrote a review saying that he had fun watching the first three episodes of the show. However, the user hilariously mentioned that the director wanted Varun to always be ‘naked’ on screen.

When the message reached the actor, he took it sportingly and replied, “Pura show mein basically kapda hi paane hain meine woh bhi dehlo #CitadelHoneyBunny.” (I wore clothes for most of the show, so please watch the rest of Citadel: Sweet Bunny.)”

Citadel: The Honey Bunny, a spin-off of the American series Citadel, stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj and DK, the series also features other popular names like Kay Kay Menon, Sikandar Kher and Saqib Salem. Within a day of its release, it gained significant popularity: viewers mostly praised the performance of the star cast.

Talking about Varun Dhawan’s work, most recently he made a special appearance in Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s horror-comedy ‘Street 2′. On the other hand, the 37-year-old actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming action film, Baby John. along with Keerthy Suresh, Vamika Gabby and Jackie Shroff. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 25. Meanwhile, Varun is also starring in Dharma Productions’ Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul and Rohit Saraf.
