Glenwood responds to report of payroll problem

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Some employees at a third-party vendor were not paid today (October 25), according to Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

KNOE reached out to Glenwood to find out what happened. Glenwood officials said the problem was due to a payroll error.

Glenwood Regional Medical Center Public Relations and Marketing Department Angela Grubbs released the following statement:

“It has come to our attention that the employees of the third-party supplier have not received their salaries as of this morning. Although these contract employees are not direct employees of Glenwood, they are our colleagues. As soon as we became aware of the problem, we worked diligently to identify it and find a solution.

We were informed that this was a payroll error and were assured that these employees would be paid today. We will continue to monitor the situation as Glenwood values the work these individuals do for our patients and our employees, and for our community in creating a safe and healthy environment.

Grubbs said employees have begun receiving payments.
