This fall, hotels are gearing up for the holidays by revamping their offerings with new club lounges, special promotions, chef collaborations and even Olympic team swimming events. Now is the time to start planning your vacation or stayespecially if you’re looking to redeem frequent flyer miles or hotel points to bring the cost of your trip down to virtually nothing. Here’s what you can expect when traveling this fall.

Earn Hyatt Points for Peloton Workouts

World of Hyatt Members cand are now linking their accounts to Peloton Earn 100 Hyatt Points after every workout of at least 20 minutes using Peloton equipment at participating Hyatt properties. Members can earn up to 12,000 points each year, which is enough for a free stay at a Category 3 hotel or at least two Category 1 hotels. It’s part of the brand’s broader mission to promote wellness while traveling and at home.

Hilton uses artificial intelligence to help guests with visual impairments

Through an exclusive partnership with Be My Eyes, Hilton hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada can assist guests who are blind or visually impaired using artificial intelligence through a free mobile app that connects them with sighted volunteers using real-time video and AI. This service helps them navigate the hotel and also gives them access to Hilton’s team of specially trained English-speaking customer service agents. Some of the ways they can help include helping you set your room’s thermostat, using the in-room coffee machine, and navigating the hotel’s meeting rooms, restaurants, bars and recreational areas.

Westin LAX Opens New Club Lounge

The Westin Los Angeles Airport has just opened a new Club Lounge on the concourse level for hotel guests. Although it lacks natural light, it has the most varied food and drink offering of any runway hotel. Available for Marriott Bonvoy Top Elite Free or for everyone who reserves a Club Room, it offers hot and cold morning and evening meals, all-day refreshments and an evening bar with beer, pre-made cocktails and a new wine dispenser.

Custom Wicked Room at New York City Hotel

New York’s Hilton Midtown has unveiled the “Stay Like” Wicked Suite, featuring themed décor that reflects all the fun of the iconic Broadway musical. It can be reserved from November 21 to January 5. It is inspired by the series’ iconic characters, Elphaba and Glinda, with a “moody green forest theme” on one side for Elphaba and a “pink wonderland” on the other. for Glinda. The living area should look like the Wizard’s Throne Room. Guests can stay in Oz as long as Earning Hilton Honors Points and enjoy special surprises during their stay (such as special cosmetics, a backpack and other goodies to take home), including tickets to see a movie in theaters.

Wailea Beach Resort Welcomes the U.S. Olympic Artistic Swimming Team

This month, guests were treated to a free performance by the U.S. Olympic Artistic Swimming Team at Wailea Beach Resort on Maui. This summer the team won an Olympic silver medal in France. The pop-up was a surprise for guests and part of the resort’s ever-growing daily schedule of events, including everything from free sports activities to cultural events for all ages. According to brand executives, the resort is one of the most popular hotels in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio in terms of earning and redeeming points.

World Of Hyatt and American AAdvantage develop partnership

While both brands are touting this as a win for members, the news is actually bittersweet for top elite status cardholders. The best benefit of the partnership for Hyatt elites and top U.S. loyalty program members was reciprocal earnings, which meant frequent fliers earned Hyatt points and American miles when staying at the hotel. Hyatt Hotels and Hyatt Elite Members Earn hotel points and airline miles as you fly across America. This beneficial offer will end at the end of 2024.

While that’s not much of a consolation, there are other changes as well, such as the ability to trade in for cross-over rewards when elite members reach certain thresholds within any program. This includes things like elite status and hotel stays. American will also adopt a popular feature from Hyatt, giving members the opportunity to share elite status for the day with someone who doesn’t currently have it, allowing for things like priority boarding, better seats, and even free upgrades depending on availability.

First new hotel in four years opens in Palm Beach

Palm House will be the first US property for the London-based company Famous luxury hotels collection when it opens next year. He notes the attention Palm Beach has received thanks to Apple TV+. Palm Royal. Bartenders wear white tuxedos and serve sophisticated cocktails amid floor-to-ceiling seashells, underwater “tapestry” and custom hand-blown coral Murano glass chandeliers specially designed for the Palm House. Santa Marta, Colombia celebrates 500th anniversary

To celebrate its 500th anniversary next year, Santa Marta, Colombia (the oldest city in the country and one of the oldest in the Americas) is highlighting the many reasons travelers should visit. According to Marriott’s 2025 Travel Study, people will seek less-traveled destinations with fewer crowds. Santa Marta matches this with everything from the nearby Tayrona National Natural Park, stunning beaches and historic city center with a beautiful cathedral. Santa Marta Marriott Playa Dormida Resort offers special celebration rates such as La Perla, which includes breakfast for two each morning, early check-in and late check-out.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman revamps its restaurants

The food and drink experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is completely different following a major Blue renovation by Eric Ripert and Andiamo. Blue is the only Forbes five-star restaurant in the Caribbean. The 16th annual Cayman Cookout festival will take place here in January 2025. To celebrate these changes, the hotel is also offering Marriott Bonvoy Moments package, which allows travelers to redeem points for luxury experiences. It will include an invitation to the reopening gala with chef Eric Ripert, an autographed copy of his coffee book, 90-minute spa treatments, a three-night stay and other tourism experiences such as a tour of Stingray City.
