Days after the 16-year-old girl was listed as a runaway, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office found her and said they were able to rescue her from human trafficking.

During the investigation, a 22-year-old Houston woman was arrested in connection with the case.

Officials say Kaylin Redding was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution involving minors. She was given a $50,000 bond. She was already out on bond in a June case involving a misdemeanor prostitution charge.

Court records show Redding is believed to be the girlfriend of the teen’s “pimp.” Additionally, the teen’s photo was used in an online sex advertisement with Redding’s phone number as the contact.

This case is still under investigation.
