Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe performed a wildly racist set at a Trump rally in New York

Two hours before Donald Trump was due to take the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York, right-wing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe warmed up the crowd with a shocking racist speech.

“Where are my proud Latinos tonight?” Hinchcliffe asked the packed arena, drawing scattered loud applause. “Guys, do you understand what I mean? (The border) is wide open. There are so many of them.”

“These Latinos love having babies too,” he added. “There is no way out. They don’t. They come inside just like they come to our country.”

The crowd groaned and applauded as Hinchcliffe continued: “Republicans are the party with a good sense of humor.”

Hinchcliffe’s “joke” mirrors MAGA talking points that reference the “great replacement theory”: a white supremacist conspiracy theory that brown migrants, often at the behest of Jews, are “invading” America and Europe to “replace” white people.

Hinchcliffe went on to mention what people are like: “Eating Pets” in Springfield, Ohio, a reference to the Trump campaign’s racist lies about Haitian immigrants in the city.

While discussing Israel’s ongoing blockade of Gaza, Hinchcliffe made an anti-Semitic joke about Jews being cheap and obsessed with money.

“Why is our money involved in these wars when it comes to Israel and Palestine?” – he said. “We’re all thinking the same thing – take care of your business already. Best of three: rock, paper, scissors. You know, the Palestinians will throw stones every time. You also know that it’s hard for Jews to throw away this paper, you know?”

Hinchcliffe also called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean” and made a remark about black people who “carved watermelons” instead of pumpkins for Halloween.

The Trump campaign distanced itself from the remarks Sunday night, a rare move for a campaign that has been almost uniformly intransigent. “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” he said. said Daniel Alvarez, campaign adviser.

During the live broadcast, MP. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) and Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, responded to Hinchcliffe’s comments about Puerto Rico shortly after he made them.

-Who is this idiot? Walz asked, and Ocasio-Cortez, who is from Puerto Rico, responded: “When some idiot calls Puerto Rico ‘floating trash,’ you know that’s what they think of you.”

“This is what they think about those who make less money than them… I want every Puerto Rican in Philadelphia, Reading and across the country to see this clip,” she continued.

Hinchcliffe’s speech marks the end of a presidential campaign that may be one of the most racist in American history.

“I’m just here to say that you guys are the right candidate,” he told the crowd.

“I love you, New York,” Hinchcliffe added. “God bless New York. God bless America.”
