Jamestown man pleads guilty to methamphetamine charges | News, Sports, Vacancies

A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to methamphetamine charges.

On Friday, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Willie S. Graham, 43, admitted before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison. The maximum prison sentence is 40 years and a fine of $5,000,000.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Donna M. Duncan, who is prosecuting the case, said that on September 6, 2023, Jamestown Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Graham was a passenger. Officers found numerous drug-related items in the vehicle. , as well as a quantity of fentanyl on Graham’s face.

On March 2, Graham was a passenger in a vehicle that fled from law enforcement officers attempting to conduct a traffic stop. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 11.6 grams of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and $1,134 in cash.

On April 30, Jamestown police located and arrested Graham. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of 10 different bank and benefit cards, some of which were issued to people other than Graham, a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $185.

The statement is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson and the Federal Bureau of Investigation under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Matthew Miraglia.

Sentencing is scheduled for February 20 at 11 a.m. before Sinatra.
