Abhinav Arora, a widely recognized 10-year-old spiritual speaker, has approached the court for protection after facing a spate of trolling and alleged online harassment. This follows a recent incident where he was publicly reprimanded by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya during an event, a moment that quickly went viral and sparked a backlash against Abhinav.

Following the reprimand, a slew of videos surfaced on platforms like YouTube with various content creators calling Abhinav a “fraud” and accusing him of being a product of “baba culture.” As criticism mounted, Abhinav sought help from the court, enlisting the help of Dr Kislay Pandey, a senior advocate at the Supreme Court.

In an exclusive interview with Local18, Dr Pandey revealed that Abhinav’s mother, Jyoti Arora, officially hired him to deal with threats against her son. He said Abhinav, just 10 years old, was receiving death threats and that he was the subject of a “coordinated campaign to tarnish his reputation” online.

Legal measures taken

Dr Pandey explained that as part of the online harassment, YouTube users were extracting personal photos from Abhinav’s official Instagram account and creating videos that defamed him without providing a platform to defend him. This, he alleged, not only damaged Abhinav’s image but also constituted a wider conspiracy to discredit him.

A formal complaint was filed with the police detailing the threats and attempts to blackmail Abhinav. The lawyer said he is confident that the courts will restore justice.

Explanation of Rambhadracharya’s remarks

Regarding the viral video reprimanding Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, Dr Pandey called for an investigation to determine the authenticity of the video, suggesting that it may have been edited or taken out of context. He noted that Rambhadracharya’s comments on dignity were misinterpreted, claiming that the saint had actually allowed Abhinav and other children to remain on stage for 10 minutes. After this event, Abhinav reportedly sought Rambhadracharya’s blessings, which also suggests that their relationship is not as adversarial as portrayed.

Solving problems related to school attendance

Speculation continues on social media as to why Abhinav did not go to school. Dr. Pandey explained that the child was indeed enrolled in school and was continuing to study.

Abhinav Arora hails from Krishnagar, Mathura, and his parents, Tarun and Jyoti Arora, support his spiritual endeavors and say they give priority to his education.
