Bibb Co. Free ACT Prep courses are offered to residents

BIBB COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A community college and a hospital are working together to make sure people in a district are better prepared for university exams. And it won’t cost participants a dime.

Shelton State Community College is partnering with Bibb Medical Center to offer free ACT prep courses to people living in Bibb County.

Shelton State administers the program through the West Alabama Workforce Development Center.

ACT Prep courses will be taught at Bibb Medical Center, which received a grant for the program from the Alabama Rural Health Opportunities Centers.

Instructors can help people by working on their thinking skills for the test and create a strategy for each section of the test through practice tests.

“I hope that the scores of students taking the ACT exam will increase significantly after taking this course. This course greatly improves other people’s scores, so I think it will be a huge benefit for Bibb County,” explained Emily Wyatt, Shelton County Workforce Development Project Manager.

It will be open to Bibb County residents beginning October 28 and continuing on November 4, 13, 18, and December 2 and 9.

Each session will be from 16.00 to 18.00

ACT Prep courses are free, but participants must register.

Students can sign up by emailing Emily Wyatt. [email protected].
