A great autumn weekend ahead, first warnings next week

A great autumn weekend ahead, first warnings next week

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) – It’s a gorgeous fall weekend, but there are two early warning signs next week.

This weekend will bring beautiful fall weather, which will be great for outdoor plans. Saturday morning starts off crisp and frosty, with morning lows around 30 degrees. But plenty of sunshine and a light easterly breeze will make for a beautiful day. Highs will be in the 60s, which is typical for late October. It’s also the peak of fall colors, so we’ve got the recipe for the perfect day for a fall lover. Sunday will be no worse, just 10 degrees warmer or around 70 degrees.

Before you head out for the weekend, keep a few things in mind about next week’s weather. First, highs will return to the low 80s on Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s high of 82 will match the all-time record of 84. Tuesday is even warmer at 83, but the record is stronger at 88.

Almost record warmth is achieved due to strong winds. Monday won’t be terrible, but southerly gusts could reach 35 mph. On Tuesday there will be strong winds, gusts of which will reach 50 meters per second. This is comparable to thunderstorm level strong winds and we are issuing a first warning to highlight this day.

There was also a first warning on Wednesday to highlight that the weather will have an impact, but this time with rain. Details are still unclear, but overall widespread downpours look likely. There may also be a few thunderstorms, but there is little serious risk at this time. This could be another good lock that we will probably need again.

The rain will stop by Halloween, and Trick ‘r Treaters will be treated to cooler weather with temperatures in the mid-60s.
