A 5-year-old child was killed in a crash on US 60 near Power Road.

MESA, Ariz. — A 5-year-old boy died Friday after a rollover accident on U.S. 60 near Power Road.

Officials say deputies responded to the area around 6:45 p.m. after passersby found a woman and three children trapped in a vehicle after one vehicle rolled over.

Everyone had to be extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries, according to the Department of Public Safety. The five-year-old boy died in hospital.

The condition of the remaining children and the woman is still unknown.

It is unknown what led to the disaster.
