Matthew Perry’s home sells for $8.5 million a year after his death

Perry bought the home, built in 1965, in 2020 for $6 million. The 3,500-square-foot home, located in Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, according to records.

Its new owner is Anita Verma-Lallianfilm producer and founder of Arizona Land Consulting. In an off-market transaction, she purchased the house as an investment property. New York Times.

Perry died on October 28, 2023 at the age of 54. The iconic sitcom actor was found unconscious in a hot tub in his backyard and later died. After his death, it was announced that he had opioids in his system and that his death was caused by the “acute effects of ketamine.” This comes after his cause of death was previously thought to be drowning.

Following his death, five people were charged for allegedly giving him drugs. On Wednesday, October 2, Dr. Mark Chavez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine. He is the third of five people to plead guilty and faces up to 10 years in prison. The other two have pleaded not guilty.

Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrisonspoke about Today’s show in an interview published on Friday, October 25, about his final days with the actor.

“What’s interesting is that he had a period shortly before his death where he was showing me one of his new houses,” Morrison said. “He came up to me and said, ‘I love you so much and I’m so happy to be with you now. And I just…” It was almost like a premonition or something. I didn’t think about it at the time, but I thought, “How long has it been since we talked like this?” Years have passed.”

Perry’s sister Caitlin Morrison also recently spoke about her late brother.

“He had the ability to fill a room with light,” Caitlin Morrison said in a conversation with Hello! Canada October 23. “When people were in the room with (him), there was this magnetic energy. “Everyone had a smile on their face and hung on to everything he said.”

Caitlin Morrison and her father Date‘s Keith Morrison (Perry’s stepfather) created the Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada in honor of his family member. According to the foundation’s website, the foundation “supports organizations that directly combat addiction in their communities.”

“When (Matthew) died suddenly, it was incredibly shocking,” Keith said. “Anyone who has lost a child will tell you that even if you are somewhat prepared for the possibility, it is devastating. We decided to keep that determination and try to do something useful.”
