It’s an important match for West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui as the struggling Hammers host Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at the London Stadium.

Life in east London as David Moyes’ successor hasn’t exactly gone to plan for Lopetegui, with last weekend’s crushing derby defeat at rivals Spurs leaving West Ham bottom of the Premier League on just eight points. While the Hammers have no problems scoring goals, their weaknesses in midfield and defense have cost them dearly, with the hosts managing just one clean sheet this season.

This provides an opportunity for a United side currently in unfamiliar surroundings in the bottom half of the table. A 2-1 comeback win over Brentford last weekend certainly helped ease the pressure on Ten Hag, but as Thursday’s 1-1 Europa League draw with Fenerbahce showed, the Red Devils have lost their edge win from a leading position.

West Ham take on Manchester United on Sunday 27 October at the London Stadium. The match is scheduled to start at 14:00 GMT local time, which makes it 10:00 Eastern Time or 7:00 Pacific Time launches in the USA and Canada and 1 am ET Starts early Monday morning in Australia.

Below we will tell you about the best live streaming services use to watch the match in real time, wherever you are.

How to watch the 2024/25 Premier League season from anywhere with a VPN

If you can’t watch EPL matches locally, you may need another way to watch the games – this is where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speed on game day by encrypting your traffic. It’s also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network and want to add an extra layer of privacy to your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you can virtually change your location on your phone, tablet, or laptop to access the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice ExpressVPN, make this very easy.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sporting events is legal in any country where VPNs are allowed, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legal subscription to the service you’re streaming. You need to be sure your VPN is configured correctly to prevent leaks: even if VPNs are legal, the streaming service can terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing properly applied blackout restrictions.

Can I live stream the West Ham v Manchester United match in the UK?

The Sunday afternoon kick-off at the London Stadium was not selected for broadcast by the British broadcaster.

This also means that if you’re traveling around the UK for pleasure or work, you’re unlikely to be able to watch the game as usual at home, thanks to geo-blocking.

There is one way around this. Using a VPN as described above, you can set your location in the country where the match is being broadcast and move from there.

Quick tips for streaming the Premier League with a VPN

  • With four variables – your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN – your experience and success with streaming EPL matches may vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as the default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for a city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble launching your game after you’ve enabled your VPN and set the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try to quickly fix it. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered to that account is in the correct viewing area. Otherwise, you may need to change the physical address listed in your account. Second, some smart TVs, like Roku, don’t have VPN apps that you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install a VPN on the router or mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network will now appear in the correct viewing location.
  • All of our recommended VPN providers have helpful instructions on their main website for quickly setting up a VPN on your router. In some cases, when using Smart TV services, after installing your cable network’s sports app, you will be asked to confirm a digital code or click a link sent to your email address stored on file on your Smart TV. Having a VPN on your router will also help here, as both devices will be in the correct location.
  • Remember that browsers can often give away location despite using a VPN, so make sure you’re using a privacy-friendly browser to log into your services. We usually recommend Brave.
