A few places in Alabama could actually see rain this week.

But.

The National Weather Service doesn’t expect most people to see them, and where it does fall, it could be minor.

Another downside is that it will be Halloween, which falls on Thursday.

The weather service expects the worsening drought in Alabama to continue for much of this week.

In fact, in many regions, October may end without a single drop of rain.

The next drought update will be released this Thursday.

However, there is a chance of rain for some. Forecasters expect a cold front to arrive Thursday that could bring a few showers to parts of northern and western Alabama.

There are signs that rain may return to Alabama after this week, although it is by no means certain.
