The Best Streaming Services for Horror Lovers in 2024

If you’re looking for an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of horror, Shudder is a great place to get your fill—all ad-free. The niche streaming platform, owned by AMC Networks, has over 300 horror films as well as television series in its library. Shudder offers a quality lineup of originals, classics, global masterpieces, and modern horror stories, including Candyman, Black Christmas, It Follows, and Sharknado. Choose from aliens, slashers, vampires, ghosts, horror comedies and more.

You can sign up for Shudder as a standalone subscription for $6 per month and get a free seven-day trial. It’s also included as an additional Prime Video channel, which costs $6 per month. If you already have the AMC Plus ($9) streaming app, it includes full access to Shudder.

A few titles are available for free on the Roku Channel, but you’ll have to pay to access most of Shudder’s library. We recommend downloading the Shudder app directly to your phone, tablet, FireTV or smart TV device.
