The Sterling Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding a missing 16-year-old.

STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) – The Sterling Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old girl who has gone missing.

According to a police report, police are searching for Yazmina Kopitas, who has been reported missing. Kopitas was last seen at her home in Sterling, Illinois, on Friday around 7 p.m.

According to police, Kopitas was last seen wearing black leggings and a gray shirt with a crop top.
