Watch: Seahawks’ bad snap against Bills almost ends in disaster

Call the Seattle Seahawks’ poor performance against the Buffalo Bills one of the biggest football stupidities of the year.

On second-and-goal at Buffalo’s 3-yard line, trailing the Bills 7-0, Seahawks center Connor Williams’ high kick sailed through the hands of quarterback Geno Smith. The ball rolled to the Buffalo 29-yard line before Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III picked it up and ran for seven yards.

Two plays later, Seahawks kicker Jason Myers converted a 38-yard field goal attempt. Still, the terrible snap must have upset Seattle — and it may have cost them a touchdown.

Perhaps Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald will give the bullies a hard time about this play when he watches it during the team’s next film session.

The Seahawks’ offense features talented playmakers, including Walker and sophomore wide receiver Jackson Smith-Njigba. However, the unit has issues with ball security.

Entering this game, Seattle was tied for eighth in the league in turnovers (10). Although they didn’t lose the game against the Bills, the Seahawks need to take better care of the ball.
