Man killed in shooting near Brookside Avenue

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was killed Sunday in a shooting on the city’s east side, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

On Sunday at 10:38 p.m., IMPD East District officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2900 block of Brookside Avenue. This is a residential area on the east side of the city. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and found a man with gunshot wounds in the alley.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators did not provide any additional information.
