Major vehicle collision on Highway 154 leads to road closures and three injuries

A vehicle collision involving two sedans Saturday evening on Highway 154 near Paradise Road resulted in serious injuries and road closures in both directions.

The crash, reported at approximately 8:06 p.m., resulted in serious injuries, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene where they found both vehicles requiring evacuation to free the passengers.

The intense crash injured a total of three patients – one adult female and two adult males. The adult female suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for emergency medical treatment. The adult males suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively, and were transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.

The evacuation process was complex, highlighting the serious nature of the collision and the skill and commitment to saving lives of the rescuers.

The crash resulted in Highway 154 being closed in both directions near Paradise Road for emergency services.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is working with local law enforcement to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
