Wells Community Shed could close due to loss of home

Now Heads Up wants to reclaim the site after the charity saw a “significant increase in demand” for its services.

Leaders of the charity said they were working with members of the shed to help them find a new location.

Wendy Attridge, from Heads Up, said: “We understand this is not desirable for Wells Community Shed, but the trustees’ responsibility is the welfare of its charity and that has changed in six years.”

Mr Whitby said they were looking for “any old building”.

“Some of our members are not the most mobile people, so we need it to be on the ground floor,” he added.
