The Eagles, whose stock is soaring after an impressive win over the Bengals in Week 8

Hours have passed since the Philadelphia Eagles left Pacore Stadium with a victory. We won’t lie. We didn’t watch any games that were played on Sunday at 4:00 pm EST. We listened to the press conferences after the game. Then we watched the Eagles game again. We got to watch the Sunday Night Football game. Then we hung out with friends.

We felt like we deserved a little party. Work hard and play hard. We’ve always been told that. We didn’t work as hard as The Birds, but we felt like we did enough.

So yeah… We threw ourselves a party. When we got home, we watched the Eagles game again. If there was a World Series game, we would ignore it.

We’ve told plenty of stories about this Eagles team over the years, but the Week 8 game was different. It was fun and we as fans enjoyed it.

We’ll move on to other games we’ve played in the past. We need to look at what the other NFL teams that played did. Besides, we only have a few hours left to enjoy this before we start talking about the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But now our thoughts are about lockout almost in the second half against one of the NFL’s most gifted young defensive backs and explosive offensive linemen. You may have heard. The Philadelphia Eagles have finally broken the jinx..

After four losses and a draw in five previous road meetings with the Bengals, they are coming off an impressive win as road underdogs. We’ll give out half a dozen game balls. These six birds’ stocks are rising after their Week 8 win.

Jack Stoll’s injury left Grant Calcaterra as the only tight end on Philadelphia’s active roster. Grant backed this up with a strong performance in week 8.

He doesn’t have to be Dallas Goedert. All he had to do was make the most of his opportunities and work when the ball was thrown his way. Check the boxes for number 81.

He caught all three of his targets for 58 yards. Damn it, that’s all there is to give to the criminally underutilized Goedert.

Calcaterra has up to 12 receptions and 186 receiving yards on the season and averages 15.5 yards per carry.

Zach Baun is well on his way to a 100-tackle season. This will be the first match of his career. Its previous high was 30, a mark it has reached twice, in 2021 and 2023.

Entering the game with two sacks and 57 tackles, 37 of which were solo, he added 12 more to his tally on Sunday while still showing some playmaking ability. His Peanut Punch stopped the Bengals’ rushing drive and gave the ball back to the Eagles’ offense.

Just when you thought we couldn’t fall more in love with Cooper DeJean, he almost passes the ball and makes a key stop on fourth down. Check it out below.

At that point, the game was still in doubt. An additional offensive opportunity created by the freshman’s energetic play led to a Jake Elliott field goal and a two-point lead.

On the next drive, two of his teammates in the secondary sent Eagles Nation into near supernova. This may be our favorite play of the competition.

While we should never count wins before they’re official, this was where we knew Philadelphia would win. Joe Burrow dropped back to pass with just over a dozen minutes remaining. Let’s just say he made a bet and lost.

Cut the game ball in half for Isaiah Rodgers and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Darius Slay injuredRodgers was tested against one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. He has proven that he is up to the challenge.

He and CJGJ received some criticism, but together they put together one of the Eagles’ best defensive plays of the season. How about a finger grab and drag for Gardner-Johnson? This swung the tide in Philadelphia’s favor forever, and the Bengals never recovered.

We talk about Jalen Hurts every week. We are all critical when he struggles. You have to give it credit when he plays so well.

Stats: 16 completions on 20 passing attempts, 236 yards through the air, 37 rushing on ten attempts, three rushing touchdowns.

QB1 was not fired. He didn’t turn the ball over. Oh, and how could we forget? He went deep on DeVonta Smith and it happened.

We could talk about some dangerous throws that ended a couple of runs, but that would just be nitpicking. On the road, he shared the stage with one of the NFL’s top young signal callers. The truth is, as good as Burrow was at times, Jalen outplayed him.

Take the QB1 bow. You deserve it!
