INDIANAPOLIS – Whitko FFA members competed and were recognized this past weekend, Oct. 26 and 27, at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis.

The Whitko FFA livestock judging panel of Anna Sickafoose, Lilly Sickafoose, Karl Sruf and Koen Schipper (led by Kari Juyer and Roger Carr) placed second nationally in livestock judging. Anna Sikafoose, a 2024 Whitco High School graduate, also made the top 10 as an individual.

Maggie Wolf, a 2023 Whitco High School graduate, was awarded an American FFA degree at the convention. The American FFA Degree is the highest honor the National FFA Organization bestows upon its members. It recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to FFA and have achieved significant success in their agricultural experience.

Whitko FFA members Kelton Kilborn, Carter Imhoff, Natalie Jones, Isaac Irwin, Amy Brown, Sophie Keener, Holly Branning, Amber Noelle Ibarra, Marissa Rogers and Marissa Alley, as well as Councilor Ken Jones, had the opportunity to attend the 97th National FFA Convention. and Expo on Thursday, October 24th. While there, the students visited the expo and interacted with other FFA members from around the country.
