Next evolution Pokemon TCG is almost here: Pokémon TCG Pocket is about to release and bring the hugely popular card game to mobile devices in a completely new format.

With app-exclusive Pokémon cards, a whole new way to play cards, and tons of ways to collect or build your collection, Pokémon TCG Pocket will change the game. And with such a rich set of additions to the global CCG, the only thing many players will be looking for is to get access to the game as quickly as possible.

With Pokémon TCG Pocket fast approaching, here’s everything you need to know about when it’ll release, what platforms it can be played on, and how to get early access if you can’t wait for the global release.

For players around the world, Pokémon TCG Pocket Release in full on October 30th. This follows a month of preliminary testing in certain regions, such as New Zealand in September.

On startup Pokémon TCG Pocket will be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. There is currently no news on whether it will launch on other platforms in the future, as it is intended for a casual audience and is entirely mobile-friendly.

Pokémon TCG Live and its predecessor TCG Online eventually had playable versions for Apple, Android, and PC, so there’s hope for a PC client, although a Nintendo Switch version is unlikely.

If you want to play TCG Pocket, you will need a working iPhone 8 or later, iOS13 or later with 2GB or more RAM. Likewise, Android users need to be running 64-bit Android 7.0 or later with 3GB or more of RAM.

Pokémon TCG Pocket is a game that allows players to easily unlock digital packs, collect cool artwork, and compete in the new Pokémon TCG format. According to The Pokémon Company, it is designed to allow players to “enjoy Pokémon cards anytime, anywhere on their mobile device!”

For casual fans of Pokémon TCG, this is an easy way to collect cards and play in a digital format different from the physical or TCG Live version. And for collectors and avid gamers, TCG Pocket offers cards you won’t find anywhere else and new challenges to solve.

Pokemon TCG Pocket

Pokémon TCG Pocket is free to download and play if you want to collect and battle Pokémon cards. However, there are microtransactions available in the game that you can complete to get even more goodies.

For example, you can purchase an in-game subscription that will give you an extra set of cards per day when you log in and additional missions to complete to earn rewards, such as exclusive promo cards.

If you can’t wait for the full version of Pokémon TCG Pocket, you can access it sooner by creating a new profile on your phone and using a VPN to change your phone’s location to New Zealand. This will allow you to download the game from your chosen app store and play it a few days earlier.

There are other methods, but they involve downloading from third-party sources, which may not be reliable.

Just keep in mind that regardless of the method, you’ll need to make sure the app registers your primary account and not another one when you download it. Otherwise, you will likely lose all your progress in the game if you have to delete the app or download it again.
