Joe Rogan refuses Kamala Harris’ terms for podcast interview

Joe Rogan said he’s still in talks for an interview with Kamala Harrisbut that he would not agree to the terms proposed by her campaign.

“Also, for the record, the Harris campaign has not given up on producing a podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have to travel to see her and they only wanted to spend an hour. I firmly believe this is the best way to do it.” he’s in a studio in Austin,” Rogan said in a post on X previously Twitter. “My sincere wish is just to have a nice conversation and get to know her as a person. I really hope we can make it happen,” he said.

Newsweek reached out to the Harris campaign for comment via email after hours.

Discussions follow Donald Trump sat down for a three-hour interview for The Joe Rogan Experience at the podcaster’s studio in Austin on Friday. long-awaited interview was widely viewed, at the time of writing it had 36 million views on YouTube, and it was mostly well received by undecided votersaccording to the analysis carried out for Newsweek.

The former president took a break from the campaign trail to travel for an interview, leaving him several hours late for his rally in Traverse City, Michigan.

Trump supporters on social media widely praised his endurance and work ethic as he traveled for interviews between campaign stops.

During the interview, Trump and Rogan talked about the possibility of Harris appearing on the podcast.

“She had to do it, and she can still do it. I hope she does,” Rogan said.

Trump took aim at Harris, saying: “I hope she does it because it will be a mess. She will be lying on the floor in a coma. She will say: “Call the doctors.”

“I will talk to her like a person. I’ll try to talk to her,” Rogan said. “I think we would have a great conversation. I think I can talk to her. I wouldn’t interview her. I would just try to talk to her and hopefully get to know her as a human being. That was my goal – to attract her, to try to get her to express herself…”

republican The candidate’s decision to devote time to Rogan demonstrates the strength of the comedian and UFC commentator turned podcaster.

Rogan’s podcast is the most popular on Spotify, where he has more than 14 million subscribers. His YouTube channel has nearly 18 million subscribers and his videos regularly receive millions of views.

His audience is largely young men, among whom Trump is popular, and Harris is keen to win him over.
