6 month old Hound Cross male available for adoption.

Rufus is a 6 month old male beagle cross. He, along with his siblings – Tyler, Spencer, Smokey and Shiloh – were rescued with his amazing mum Sally after living as homeless.

They apparently survived on the outskirts of a small village until a dog handler picked them up and took them to the local municipal shelter.

Rufus is the most confident and confident puppy in the litter. He shows boundless enthusiasm when meeting new people and loves to be the center of attention. With an adorable personality, he is always ready to snuggle up to you and chew your fingers to entice you to pet him.

He is very affectionate and loves to be handled. Rufus gets along well with dogs other than his littermates and is often the initiator of playful games of chasing.

He’s not shy about getting a little mischievous to get the other dog’s attention, dancing around it with play bows and squirming like a little fool. His funny character is sure to bring joy to any home.

As beagle mix puppies, this litter requires an active lifestyle from families that love the outdoors and can offer a semi-rural environment. Although puppies are confident when they are together, they may initially have difficulty being separated and will do best outside the city.

It doesn’t have to be in the countryside, but a quieter location away from the hustle and bustle is ideal.

Now about six months old, the puppies have not had any training, so adopters must be prepared to start from scratch. They have had a rough start in life and should be treated with kindness, respect and patience while they adjust to the companion’s lifestyle.

They have never lived in a house before, so this transition will be significant for each of them.

We believe that all puppies can thrive in a home with other dogs. They are sociable, friendly, curious and fun, so a four-legged playmate will be a great addition to their lives.

They are still in the chewing stage typical for their age and may be better suited to families with older children (8+). Puppies have not been tested on cats.

Rufus currently resides in Cyprus and is in clean health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
