Rogan says interview with Harris is still on the table

Podcast Host Joe Rogan said he was negotiating an interview with the vice president Kamala Harrisand he expressed hope that the podcast episode, filmed on his own terms, will be released sooner Election Day.

Facing a sharp decline in support from male voters, Harris’ team met with Rogan earlier this month to plan an appearance. “My sincere wish is just to have a nice conversation and get to know her as a person. I really hope we can make it happen,” he continued.

Rogan’s comments come after he recently produced a hugely popular episode with former President Donald Trump. The podcast episode received over 37 million views on YouTube in the first three days of its release.

Rogan, who is also a stand-up comedian and has extensive UFC experience as a broadcaster, spoke about his hope to bring Harris on board during an interview with Trump.

“I will speak to her like a human being. I would try to talk to her. I think we could have a good conversation. I think I can talk to her. I wouldn’t interview her. I would just try to talk to her and hopefully get to know her as a person. This was my goal. Trying to get her to express herself,” he told Trump.

While the former president told Rogan “she’ll be on the floor” and expressed doubt that Harris would come on the show, the podcast host remained hopeful.

“She had to do it. And she can still do it. I hope she does,” he said.

Being the most popular podcast in the US, The Joe Rogan Experience boasts millions of listeners. Since the majority of Rogan’s followers are men, the platform gives Harris the opportunity to market her campaign to men.
