A Yankees fan grabbed Mookie Betts’ glove while trying to snatch the ball in the World Series.

As Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts tried to catch a foul ball in the first inning of Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, Oct. 29, two Yankees fans tried to snatch the ball from his glove.

A bizarre “only in New York” moment occurred in the bottom of the first inning when Gleyber Torres led off the inning with a jumper to right field.

After Betts caught the ball, one Yankees fan wearing an Aaron Judge away jersey didn’t let go of Betts’ left hand until he freed it.

The effort was in vain as the referee ejected Torres due to fan interference and the two men were escorted out by stadium security.

This is the second time in this series that Torres has found himself on the wrong side of a fan interference call. In the ninth inning of Game 1, Torres hit what appeared to be a go-ahead home run, but a Dodgers fan reached over the wall and it was ruled a double instead.
