French Ambassador to India’s mobile phone stolen in North Delhi, police arrest four

Earlier this month, four people were detained for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from Dr Thierry Mathou, the French ambassador to India, during his visit to the busy Chandni Chowk area of ​​North Delhi.

Delhi Police confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Wednesday and said the stolen phone has since been recovered. The incident took place on October 20 when Ambassador Mathu filed an e-complaint about the loss of his mobile device near Jain Mandir in Chandni Chowk.

“Four people were arrested after French Ambassador to India Dr Thierry Mathu filed an electronic complaint that he lost his mobile phone near Jain Mandir in Chandni Chowk area on October 20. The mobile phone was recovered,” Delhi Police said in a statement. This was reported by the news agency ANI.
