New Delhi’s claims of normalcy in IIOJK cannot hide the harsh reality on the ground: APHC

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference says the Modi-led regime’s claims of normalcy cannot overshadow the harsh reality on the ground as Occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues to suffer from brutal repression.

In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas expressed deep concern over the merciless bloodshed among innocent civilians.

He deplored the deteriorating situation, especially after the recent elections, which the Modi regime boasted as a solution to the Kashmir problem.

Minhas highlighted the alarming rise in human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, fake encounters and other brutal tactics aimed at suppressing the right of the people of Kashmir to self-determination.

He called on international human rights organizations to urgently address the brutality inflicted by Indian troops on the Kashmiri people.

On the other hand, Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles personnel, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and Indian Police have launched cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Kupwara districts.

At least two young people were arrested during the operation.
