Taylor Swift collaboration video shows professionalism after malfunction

Taylor Swift fans have compiled videos showing how the pop icon deftly handles stage mishaps.

Swift, 34, is on the final leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which will include 152 shows across five continents by the end of the tour.

Considering the scale of stadium shows and the number of concerts, It’s no surprise that Swift has encountered a number of on-stage hiccups.. But a new video shows how she handles them like a pro.

Video posted on X previously TwitterUser @thisisvertrying showed the same moment of Swift performing “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” (WAOLM)” from two different Eras concerts.

The first was at a show in Paris in May, and the second was at her concert in New Orleans on October 27.

At the Paris show, Swift performs on a spinning silver cube, nicknamed the “rumba” by her fans, which moves across the huge stage while she holds on to a white pole for balance.

But when the cube malfunctions during a concert in New Orleans, quick-thinking Swift jumps off it and continues down the stage. She also performs the same dance moves at the same point on the stage as if she were on a cube.

“Wow this video really shows how professional Taylor is, she was still doing all the ‘waolm’ choreography while improvising after the stage crash,” @thisisvertrying captioned the post.

Other Swift fans reacted to the video in replies to the original post.

“Sometimes it’s amazing to think back on her years of experience performing live. She’s obviously a young woman, but she’s been doing this for so long. She is definitely a seasoned professional!” posted by @timeoutxyxy.

“I can almost guarantee that Taylor and the dancers prepared for any situation. That’s how professional she is!” added @KaitlinMcCann43.

And @Carolinekeeth commented: “The way she beats harder when she’s outside of the Roomba. Her ability to move freely was incredible. The way she walked on the floor – and stumbled, as if she was falling and being pulled. It was amazing, especially considering that it was an improvisational performance.”

Swift has faced many failures on stage since the first performance of the Eras Tour in March 2023.

She swallowed a mistake mid-song, she had to run across the stage to get her next hit after technical glitches, and she suffered multiple wardrobe malfunctions.

At one concert in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Swift’s piano began playing eerie music on its own, catching the superstar by surprise.

“Did you hear that? Can you hear the piano? This is crazy,” she said, laughing and trading ivory keys for a guitar.
