Jerry O’Connell responds to eyebrow hate with a joke post

Jerry O’Connell finally succumbed to the eyebrow haters – well, sort of.

After years of stroking his bushy eyebrows, Talk co-host and actor finally received a comment that inspired him to respond to the hate—with a little help from his wife Rebecca Romijn.

The straw that broke the camel’s back? User on X (formerly known as Twitter), which responded to 50-year-old O’Connell’s video by asking him to “trim” his eyebrows. In particular, the user asked him to model his eyebrows after the role of Derek in 1997. Scream 2 – but the actor responded with more than just a haircut.

With the help of Romijn (a reference to one of his brow-hater’s comments: “I can’t believe your wife thinks they’re fine”), O’Connell fired back. Instagram post Published Tuesday, October 29th.

On the first slide Stay with me First, the actor included a screenshot of X’s post that inspired the post, and in the second, a photo of Romijn, 51, looking at her eyebrows as if she were about to shape them.

The photo shows the model holding tweezers in one hand and touching one of her husband’s eyebrows with the other, assessing it.

Then, on the final slide, O’Connell included a selfie of himself rocking his ultra-thin eyebrows, giving him a striking (and virtually unrecognizable) look.

Although the actor seems to have given in to the hater’s request—even to the point of Drew Barrymore’s ’90s Thin Brows — the transformation doesn’t seem to be permanent, as he’s back to his usual bushy eyebrows. Talk the next day.

“I’m tired of this,” O’Connell captioned the humorous post. “Scroll to see how @rebeccaromijn finally sorted this out. Do you like it?

Unfortunately, people didn’t like the actor’s new image—at least that was the opinion in the comments.

His Stay with me Co-star Wil Wheaton wrote: “I’ll say no, man,” while another person called the thin brow selfie a “jump scare.”

Other comments, meanwhile, praised O’Connell’s natural eyebrows – and his wife of 17 years for helping him respond to hatred. “OMG no no one messes with eyebrows,” one person wrote, while another joked: “I like them thick. I like them, CHUNKIES.

“I hope you guys stay together forever,” read another, referring to Romijn. “She understands you and you make her laugh I love that and I love her even more because she loves you for who you are .”
