Wicked will captivate PHL cinemas on November 20th.

“Oz is a magical place, so to be able to invite the public into this beautiful world is exciting.” In the newest short film, Jon M. Chu welcomes fans and moviegoers to the wonderful world of Oz in the highly anticipated adaptation of the hit musical Wicked.

Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, believes that Oz is a land of endless possibilities. “What you think is impossible, what you dream of, is not impossible at all,” she says.

In the world of Oz, nothing is simpler than reality. “In the world of Oz, nothing is just one dimension,” explains Erivo. “That special magic is palpable,” adds Jonathan Bailey, who plays Fiyero.

Alongside Erivo is Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda, as she talks about how their characters both search for their inner magic in the world. “Glinda, like Elphaba, just wants to find her magic,” she says. Erivo also talks about Elphaba’s strength. “It’s not about relying on someone else. It’s really about harnessing the power that she has and using it to do good in the way that she needs to do,” she says.

“That’s the most magical part of it all,” Grande adds.

Tickets are now available and seats can be reserved on ticketing websites. Distributed by Universal Pictures, Wicked will hit Philippine cinemas on November 20.
