Phoenix Police K9 Wins First Place in National Competition

PHOENIX (AZFamily) “When responding to a call, our police officers risk their lives and safety for the sake of others. However, they don’t always do it alone!

The Phoenix Police Department celebrated a major accomplishment for one of its four-legged officers.

On its Facebook page, the department congratulated K9 Skaut on a job well done! The pup took first place in explosives detection at the 21st annual K9 Trails Desert Police Dog Competition.

The two-day police K9 competition is one of the largest in the country, with 70 dog teams from across the country competing.

Scout wasn’t the only one who brought home gold! Phoenix police also took first place in the detective agency category.
