Stevie Nicks reveals her ‘biggest regret’

Stevie Nicks doesn’t have a lot of regrets in life, but one of the few apparently decides not to vote until she’s 70 years old.

“I never voted until I was 70, but I regret it. I’ve been saying that to everyone on stage for the last two years,” she said in a new interview with MSNBC. “I regret it and I don’t have many regrets. There are so many reasons. You might say, “Oh, I didn’t have time.” I was this and that.” After all, you didn’t have an hour? You didn’t have an hour to go and vote.”

The 76-year-old Fleetwood Mac star is making up for lost time by using his platform to encourage others to vote in the upcoming US election. In September, she warned fans that “your vote in this election may be one of the most important things you ever do” on social media.

She also recently released a new song called “The Lighthouse,” which she wrote shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022.

“We have to find a way to bring back Roe v. Wade,” Nix added in the interview. “In the late 50s, 60s and early 70s, everyone was writing protest songs. Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills—there were many, many, many of them. I would tell all my music poets who write songs to write some songs about what’s going on, like I did.”
