“Beautiful areas” in the city

Shanghai had created 732 “beautiful neighborhoods” by the end of September, Shanghai’s greening authority said on Thursday.

The Shanghai Bureau of Greenery and Public Sanitation simultaneously introduced 25 city walking routes “Beautiful Area”, covering Hengfu Historical Conservation Area (Hengshan-Fuxing Road), Huangpu River and Suzhou Stream, Lujiazui District, Qingxi Ancient City and Jiaxing. Road, which are popular check-in locations.

The project also invited many citizens to participate by making suggestions on how to make their neighborhood more beautiful, the bureau said.

Before the development of the “Beautiful Area” around Jiangjiaxiang Garden, a pocket park in Jing’an District, opinions from various parties were widely sought, and public proposals were accepted, such as the renovation of shikumen (stone gate) buildings to optimize the construction plan.

In the process of developing the green space at Lane 88 Changping Road, residents were invited to directly participate in the design, fully exploring the historical culture of the area and reflecting nostalgia through memories.

Half Marathon Suzhou Creek Park – Changfeng City of Joy – Changfeng Park – Wuzuo Pocket Park – Jinning Green Land

Area: Daduhe Street and Tongchuan Road, beautiful area, Putuo District.

Starting point: Daduhe Street and Guangfu Street, West.

End point: Tongchuan Road and Jinning Road.

Length: 4.9 kilometers

Yuyuan Garden Scenic Area (168 Fuyu Street) – Gucheng Park – Fengjing Road Bund Pedestrian Street – Dongjiadu Flower Bridge – Dongjiadu Catholic Church Garden – Merchant Shipping Hall Garden

Area: Yuyuan Garden and Dongjiadu beautiful area.

Starting point: Yuyuan Garden.

End point: Merchant Shipping Garden.
