The Philadelphia 76ers entered a new NBA The season is ready for active competition in the Eastern Conference. They brought in star forward Paul George to pair with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, giving them one of the best big threes in recent memory.

However, things didn’t start out well for them, at least from an injury standpoint. Both George and Embiid missed the start of the season for various reasons.

Embiid received the most criticism for his injuries, with fans saying he wasn’t trying hard enough to get back on the court. The former MVP disagreed with them and criticized them in recent comments.

“When I see people say, ‘He doesn’t want to play, I’ve done too much for this city, putting myself at risk because people say that.’ I really think this is nonsense. Like that dude, he’s not here, Marcus, I’ve done too much for this damn town to be treated like this.”
