John 3:16 The mission’s goal is to collect 44 tons of food amid rising prices.

John 3:16 The mission is preparing for an annual Thanksgiving food drive to feed the less fortunate and homeless.

“This holiday season, Thanksgiving and Christmas, is a time when the community can do something meaningful to bless our hurting neighbors,” says Stephen Whitaker, CEO of John 3:16 Mission. “The food we serve and the food baskets we distribute will make a critical difference for many in the community. We’re counting on Tulsa to help us.”

“Our Family and Youth Center exists to prevent homelessness. Our food pantry and Thanksgiving food baskets ensure families have everything they need. Many people make a choice between paying rent and utilities and food. We ask those of you who can — to join us and work to put food on your tables. If you can help, it will make an incredible difference in the lives of others,” Whitaker says.

John 3:16 The mission plans to serve Thanksgiving dinner at the shelter downtown.

In addition to food, John 3:16 Mission will distribute boxes of food to thousands of families.

The mission goal of John 3:16 is to collect 5,000 turkeys.

Some turkeys will be included in the food basket, while others will be prepared for the holiday dinner.

The mission will accept donations of frozen turkey and shelf-stable items such as stuffing, instant potatoes, gravy mix, macaroni and cheese, canned sweet potatoes, canned corn, canned green beans, canned fruit, cranberry sauce, pie filling (full list here). ) at various locations starting Saturday, November 2:
