31 song release show Cure Play Marathon at Troxy

Treatment celebrated their new album, Songs of the Lost Worldwith a marathon three-hour record release show at London’s Troxy, which was also streamed live online and can be streamed in full below.

The evening started with a full performance Songs of the Lost Worldthe band’s recently released first album in 16 years. From there Robert Smith and company. performed a set of classic hits and fan favorites, including tracks such as “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You,” Lovesong, “Fascination Street,” “Just Like Heaven,” and “Disintegration.”

The Cure then treated fans to a surprise mini-set of five songs from their 1980 second album: Seventeen secondsin honor of his 45th birthday, before ending the evening with an encore that included “Lullaby,” “Friday I’m in Love,” and “Boys Don’t Cry.” The Cure performed 31 songs in total during their three-hour set.

Following the couple studio sessions for BBC RadioFriday’s show at Troxy was The Cure’s only full performance in 2024. However, the group intends to tour actively starting in 2025 as part of its expected retirement in 2029.
