Woman rescued after house fire in downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Investigators are working to determine what caused a fire in downtown Fresno Friday morning.

One person had to be rescued from a burning house.

First responders were called to Cedar and Grant avenues just after 10 a.m.

The house was engulfed in flames.

The woman was trapped in an enclosed backyard patio, but a firefighter was able to help her to safety.

She was examined for any injuries.

The extent of damage to the home is unknown.
