Cranberry and Jackson received .45 million in government grants – Butler Eagle

The Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Program recently awarded $2.45 million in state funding to Cranberry and Jackson townships.

Cranberry Township will receive $1.45 million to expand the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, and Jackson Township will receive $1 million to renovate the Steamfitters Technology Center.

“I am grateful to have advocated for these funds, which will greatly benefit the communities I have the honor of serving,” State Rep. Stephanie Scialabba, R-12th, said in a press release Friday, Nov. 1. “Residents will experience a positive long-term impact as a result of this significant increase.”

The Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Budget Office, supports projects that enhance economic, recreational, cultural and civic opportunities, benefiting regions with increased employment and tax revenue.
