Martha Stewart Claims Neighbor Ryan Reynolds Isn’t Funny in Real Life

Ryan Reynolds’ goofy personality might just be an act.

Martha Stewart said the Deadpool and Wolverine star, who happens to be her neighbor, isn’t as stupid as fans believe during her appearance on the Bilt Rewards game show “Rent Free” in November with founder and CEO Ankur Jain.

“Do you want to know something? He’s not that funny in real life,” said the 83-year-old lifestyle guru. “No, he’s not that funny. He’s very serious.”

She mentioned Reynolds, 48, in an attempt to guess which celebrities respondents said were the most fun to hang out with.

“He’s probably only on the list because he covers up in his movies and you don’t see his face,” she joked.

She then guessed whether Brad Pitt and George Clooney made the cut, which they didn’t.

“I would like to communicate with these guys,” she noted.

“George is a pleasure to hang out with,” Stewart later added.

Despite being wrong about Hollywood heartthrobs, Stewart said she’s confident that her close friend Snoop Doggwill be on the list.

When asked to rank her top picks, “Martha’s Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen” Ultimately, the author ranked “sweet” Taylor Swift as her top choice, followed by Snoop and then Clooney.

When Jain expressed his shock that Reynolds didn’t make the cut, Stewart doubled down on her thoughts.

“He’s a good actor,” she confirmed. “He may act funny, but he’s not funny.”

“Maybe he can be funny again.”

“I’m going to get in trouble,” she added playfully. “He’s my neighbor.”

Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively own $2 million home in BedfordNew York, which is near Stuart. 153 acre site with an orchard, greenhouses and place for horses and donkeys.

Stewart became friends with Reynolds and Lively, 37, when they bought the house next door to hers.

“She moved into my neighborhood a couple of years ago with Ryan—before they got married, they bought a house right around the corner from my house. And they started coming not to borrow sugar, but just as friends,” she said. retracted to HuffPost in 2014.
