The only regret in Chase’s Sean Wallace’s love life is when he reveals his partner’s secret | Celebrity News | Show business and TV

The Chase star Shawn Wallace gave fans a rare glimpse into his personal life by confirming his relationship status. Known as the Dark Destroyer on the popular ITV quiz show, the 65-year-old barrister is usually quite low-key about his life off-screen but recently admitted to being “in a relationship”.

Speaking on the How to Be 60 podcast with Loose Women’s Kay Adams and co-host Karen McKenzie, Sean revealed he is single but happy with it. He said: “I guess I’m married to my career. Let’s put it this way. I like it. I prefer it and I’m happier.”

When asked directly if he had a partner, he replied: “Yes, I am in a relationship.”

Kaye then mentioned that she tried to delve deeper into his life but “hit a brick wall.” When asked about children, Sean confirmed: “No, I never had children.”

He further explained that his decision not to start a family was a conscious decision he made early in his career as a lawyer, stating: “It was a conscious decision when I was a struggling young lawyer. the right to raise a child while trying to climb to the top of this oily pillar,” reports Mirror.

Sean Wallace, best known for his role in The Chase, has never had children of his own but is proud to be a godfather to many, stating: “And I’ve never regretted that decision. I have 15 godchildren.” their name is Sean and I am the best godfather in the world. I probably would have been a great father, but I don’t regret anything.”

He also played a significant role in the life of his ex-partner’s child, whom he considers akin to his daughter, sharing, “I’ve seen her grow into a beautiful young woman. She recently received an honors degree and a Ph.D. I was there the other day.”

A stalwart of The Chase since its inception in June 2009, Sean remains one of the show’s original hunters alongside Mark Labbett, with Anne Hegarty joining in the second series.
