One dead, three injured in Lake County crash

GREAT FALLS — A 29-year-old Arlee man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lake County on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024.

It happened around 5:50 p.m. on U.S. Highway 93 near the Holt Driver intersection, near the community of Ravalli.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving south on Highway 93 when he apparently crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into another vehicle.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the Ford F-150, died at the scene; MHP says he was wearing a seat belt. His name has not been disclosed.

The second car contained six people from St. Ignatius. Three of them were taken to a Missoula hospital; the nature and extent of their injuries were not disclosed.

According to MHP, the collision was not related to the use of alcohol, drugs or speeding.
