King Charles’ diversity czar, who was appointed after Harry and Meghan’s race row, has quit.

Eva Omagomiwho was the King’s most senior black aide, was appointed to the newly created position of director of community engagement in July 2021.

Soon after, an inclusion and diversity “strategy and action plan” was initiated for staff and members of the Royal Family.

One course was called “unconscious bias training” and the other was called “diversity in the workplace.”

The palace has set a target of having 14 per cent of its workforce from ethnic minorities by 2025.

A royal source said: “Eva has been a very valuable part of the King’s team for over 17 years.

“She is pursuing an exciting new opportunity outside the home but will continue to advise the King on how to engage with the community.”

Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
