Mukwonago School District board member dies

Vito Schwartz, a board member of the Mukwonago School District, has died.

In a statement to FOX6 News, the school district said Schwartz left behind four children and called his death “tragic.” Schwartz was also co-owner of Semper Fi Roofing & Exteriors and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

FOX6 News has asked police for any information that may be related to Schwartz’s death. They responded by saying two people were found dead in a home in Mukwonago late Friday night.

Police said a 45-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman died from gunshot wounds. At this time, police said there are no signs of forced entry into the home and they are not looking for any suspects.

FOX6 News also reached out to Semper Fi for information about Schwartz. The company asked that “no speculation be made” about Schwartz’s death.

Mukwonago School District staff and families were shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic passing of school board member Vito Schwartz on Friday. Vito served on our school board for almost four years. Vito is survived by four children, all of whom are graduates or current students of MHS.
