Governor and First Lady Invite Kentuckians to Submit Art Gallery to Capitol’s Team Kentucky

Governor and First Lady Invite Kentuckians to Submit Art Gallery to Capitol’s Team Kentucky

Governor Andy Beshear and First Lady Beshear are once again inviting Kentuckians to create art and photographs that celebrate our Commonwealth and to submit their artwork for inclusion in the Team Kentucky Gallery exhibit in the spring of 2025.

The exhibit is located in the main hall of the State Capitol in Frankfort. Applications must be submitted by Friday, December 13th.

The Beshears believe there is no better place than the State Capitol to highlight the voices of Kentuckians represented through the arts, and the Team Kentucky Gallery allows artists and photographers to creatively express what makes our state special to them.

“With every Team Kentucky Gallery exhibition, we see amazing new perspectives on what brings Kentuckians together—our state’s natural beauty, our shared values, and our resilience,” the governor and first lady said. “We can’t wait to see the next batch of art and photography that will make us even more proud to call Kentucky home.”

Selected works are exhibited on a six-month rotation at the Capitol and in Team Kentucky’s Digital Art Gallery, where artists and photographers can provide additional information. After each rotation, selected works are returned to the artists.

The deadline to submit artwork and photographs for consideration for the Spring 2025 exhibition is Friday, December 13th. Works will be selected for the gallery by December 18, 2025, and selected artists and photographers will be notified shortly thereafter. The current rotation will last until January 6. The next rotation will begin on January 7 and will last until June.
