Three stabbed in fight at bus station

Three people were taken to hospital with stab wounds after a fight at a bus station.

Northumbria Police said he was called to Blyth bus station in Northumberland shortly after 00:50 GMT.

The report said three men were found with non-life-threatening stab wounds and taken to the hospital. Two of them were discharged, police said.

A 30-year-old man was detained in connection with the attack.

Security officials said cordons remain in place in some parts of the city, including around the bus station.

“An investigation has been launched to establish all the circumstances and identify those involved,” the spokesman said.

Great North Ambulance Service said its critical care team was “activated” at 01:03 GMT following reports of an attack in the Bridge Street area of ​​Blyth.

It said its team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service to treat three patients.

Bus operator Arriva North East said the bus station was closed due to a “police incident” and buses were instead running from a number of locations including Union Street, Regent Street and the Oddfellow Arms bus stop.
