Strictly speaking, the star was “gutted” and became the sixth celebrity to leave the competition

Former Olympic hockey player Sam Quek and her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin were excluded from this year’s tournament series. Dancing under strict control.

Their departure happened despite the reality TV star Pete Weeks and his partner Jovita Przystal scoring just 22 while performing to Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust” on Saturday.

Sam and Nikita were defeated in a dance match by a former Olympian and gladiator. Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe, who scored 35 points in Saturday’s live performance for waltzing to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

All four judges unanimously agreed to save Montell and Johannes.

Speaking about her time on the show, Sam said: “I’m upset, I just want to say thank you. I’ve learned so much. Strictly just brought that spring into my step back.

“It was an absolute joy. Nikita, you played a key role in helping me find that inner Sam that was there, that went silent for a little bit, maybe for a year or two, and has just come back.

“I’m upset because I feel like I still have a lot to give.”

After the show aired, Sam shared a lengthy message on Instagram about her feelings about leaving, saying she has “no regrets.”

She thanked Nikita and the team, saying they were “shooting for the moon” every week but Strictly was “tougher” than she expected.

“Physically, during the day I danced my legs red-hot and repeated the week-long routine until my legs couldn’t support me anymore,” she wrote. “At night, I would take ice baths, massage, and prepare for the next day by observing my daily routine over and over again.”

“Mentally the process was even more difficult,” she added, explaining that she missed her children, who constantly asked her to come home.

However, it wasn’t all bad as she said she “gotta live the dream” which she will miss now that it’s over.

Big Brother star Nikita said on the show: “I’m absolutely delighted with this girl. Sometimes they say it’s the journey and not the destination, but for me it’s the company. Sam, you are the most wonderful company I could have.”

The 36-year-old described her partnership with her professional partner as “magical”.

It comes after JLS singer JB Gill and his pro partner Lauren Oakley scored the highest score of this year’s series at Saturday’s live performance, scoring 39 points for a medley with Bruno Mars as Amy Dowden watched the show from the studio due to illness..

The Welsh professional dancer, who is usually JB’s partner, missed the results program last Sunday after she was taken to Barnet Hospital from the BBC One show’s production house, Elstree Studios, as a “precautionary measure” after she started ” feel bad”.

Speaking during Saturday’s show, a tearful Amy said: “It was a real dream team, right down to Lauren interjecting into our chat: ‘Jay, would you like some coffee?’ To which I replied: “Yes, you will have a vanilla latte.”

Reality TV star Tasha Guri and professional partner Aljaz Skoryanets performed to the song Pink What About Us and also scored a joint record of 39.

Meanwhile, Go Compare singer Wynn Evans was accused of fan violationas they wondered if he was allowed to sing during the performance.

And there was more surprise cameo from Miranda Hartwhen she visited her co-star Sarah Headland during rehearsal.

Elsewhere in Sunday’s results show, it featured a performance by K-pop boy band DearALICE, as well as a Beyoncé medley, with Johannes channeling his inner Sasha Fierce as the main character in the program.

The remaining nine couples, including comedian Chris McCausland and The X Factor’s Shayne Ward, will take to the dance floor next week.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday, November 9 at 6:35pm, with Remembrance Sunday results showing on Sunday, November 10 at 7:20pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
