One dead, several rescued after boat capsizes off Redondo Beach – Orange County Register

One person was killed and several others were rescued after a boat capsized Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3, off Redondo Beach.

Crews responded around 1:28 p.m. after a boat capsized in the ocean two miles off the coast of Redondo Beach, near Avenue C, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One of the people was not breathing when crews brought him to the harbor for medical treatment.

The man was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Homicide Squad officers were investigating.

Fire and sheriff’s officials did not immediately know the condition of those rescued.

Crews tied the 25-foot vessel to a buoy and it remained there during the investigation. Five survived This was reported on air.
